Global Issues and Citizenship - Stages 4 and 5

This unit is aimed at making students aware of global issues in order to work towards becoming active global citizens and to work cohesively as a group in order to engage with their social skills aims in their behaviour management plans.

Vietnam - Stage 5

The unit focuses on the economic, social, political and cultural aspects of Vietnam as a place of liveability. Through an intensive study of Vietnamese culture students build a storyline for wellbeing through understanding the diverse features and characteristics of environments in Vietnam. The unit focuses on processes and influences that transform liveability and human wellbeing on a geographical scale. The unit's key idea is creating a profile to evaluate liveability in terms of human wellbeing in a country.

Mapping - Stage 4

This is a Geographical skills unit, which is designed to teach students about different types of maps, the features of these maps and how to read them. Geographical Information Systems (mapping computer programs, apps etc) will also be explored with a focus on using GOOGLE maps.

Australia in the Regional & Global Context - Stage 5

The Unit of Work is to improve Geographical key concepts and ideas by using literacy and numeracy techniques in the classroom.
